ITINERARY:

Day 1 : Arrive in Jabalpur – Drive to Bandhavgarh 

Arrive at Jabalpur Airport or railway station and embark on a scenic drive to Bandhavgarh National Park. Lush green forests, rural villages, and glimpses of central India's countryside accompany your journey. On arrival, check into a jungle lodge nestled on the forest’s edge. Spend your evening unwinding, enjoying bird calls, and preparing for the thrilling safaris ahead. Bandhavgarh, once a royal hunting ground, is now famed for its thriving population of Bengal tigers and rich biodiversity.

Day 2 : Bandhavgarh – Morning & Evening Safaris

Rise early for your first safari in the Tala Zone, the most picturesque and tiger-rich area of the park. With luck, you may spot the elusive tiger, leopards, and spotted deer. Return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast and some rest. In the afternoon, set out on a second safari to explore another zone. The diverse terrain includes sal forests, grasslands, and ancient caves. End your day sharing wildlife stories over a bonfire under the starlit sky.

 

​Day 3 : Bandhavgarh – Explore Wildlife & Tribal Life

Enjoy another morning safari, perhaps focusing on birdwatching or tracking pugmarks with a naturalist. Visit Bandhavgarh Fort, perched inside the park and believed to be over 2,000 years old, offering panoramic jungle views. Later, take a guided walk through a nearby village to interact with local communities and learn about their traditions. Unwind with a nature walk or spa therapy at your lodge, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere before the next leg of your journey.

 

​Day 4 : Bandhavgarh to Panna Tiger Reserve (200 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, set off for Panna Tiger Reserve, driving through undulating hills and rustic settlements. Arrive by afternoon and check into a charming jungle lodge or eco-resort near the Ken River. Relax amidst the peaceful surroundings or take a sunset stroll along the riverbank. The reserve is known for its leopard sightings, restored tiger population, and unique dry deciduous forest landscape that contrasts beautifully with Bandhavgarh’s dense jungle.

 

​Day 5 : Panna – Safari & River Experience

Wake up to the calls of the jungle and head for a morning safari in Panna. Keep your eyes open for tigers, hyenas, vultures, and sloth bears, all thriving in this revitalized wilderness. Later, visit the Ken Gharial Sanctuary to observe these rare crocodilians basking along the rocks. Opt for a boat ride on the Ken River or return to your lodge for a cultural performance by local Baiga or Gond tribes, followed by a dinner under the stars.

 

​Day 6 : Panna to Khajuraho (45 km / 1.5 hrs)

After a leisurely breakfast, take a short drive to Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its exquisite temples. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or boutique resort and spend the afternoon exploring the Western Group of Temples, known for their stunning carvings and symbolic architecture. In the evening, attend the sound-and-light show in the temple complex, which brings alive the history of the Chandela kings who built this artistic marvel in the 10th century.

 

​Day 7 : Khajuraho – Temples, Village Life & Waterfalls

Begin your day with a visit to the Eastern and Southern Groups of Temples, showcasing Jain architecture and lesser-known but beautifully preserved shrines. In the afternoon, take a short excursion to Raneh Falls (approx. 20 km / 45 mins), where the Ken River has carved a spectacular canyon through volcanic rock. The vibrant basalt formations and seasonal waterfalls offer a refreshing dose of natural beauty. Return for some souvenir shopping or a cultural meal of Bundelkhandi cuisine.

Day 8 : Depart from Khajuraho

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before transferring to Khajuraho Airport or railway station for your onward journey. Depart with rich memories of tiger trails, spiritual sculptures, and the serene charm of central India’s jungles and temples.
