ITINERARY:
Day 01 : Arrival in Santiago
Arrive in Santiago, Chile’s vibrant capital. Explore the city’s mix of modern and colonial architecture, including Plaza de Armas, La Moneda Palace, and the Cerro San Cristóbal hill for panoramic views. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with Chilean specialties like empanadas and mote con huesillos.
Day 02 : Santiago – Valparaíso Day Trip
Take a day trip to Valparaíso, a colorful coastal city known for its bohemian atmosphere and colorful hillside homes. Visit the historic Pablo Neruda Museum, the Funicular Railway, and stroll through Valparaíso's UNESCO-listed historic district. Enjoy fresh seafood at one of the seafront restaurants before returning to Santiago.
Day 03 : Fly to Atacama Desert
Fly to San Pedro de Atacama, located in the Atacama Desert. Begin your desert adventure with a visit to Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) for stunning sunset views over the surreal landscape of salt formations and rock formations. Explore Laguna Cejar for a swim in its saline waters. Enjoy one of the best stargazing experiences in the world, spectacular views of the Milky Way, distant galaxies, and countless constellations. The ALMA Observatory, located nearby, is one of the largest and most advanced radio observatories.
Day 04 : Atacama Desert – Geysers and Salt Flats and Star Gazing
Rise early to visit El Tatio Geysers, one of the highest geothermal fields in the world. Afterward, visit the Salar de Atacama, one of the largest salt flats in the world, where you can admire the vast expanse and its unique wildlife, including flamingos. Spend the afternoon exploring the town of San Pedro de Atacama.
Day 05 : Fly to Patagonia – Punta Arenas
Fly to Punta Arenas, a gateway to Patagonia. Take a tour of this charming port town, with its colonial buildings and sea views. Visit the Cementerio Municipal and Plaza de Armas, then relax at a local café. Enjoy Patagonian lamb or king crab for dinner at a cozy restaurant.
Day 06 : Torres del Paine National Park
Embark on a full-day trip to Torres del Paine National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes of towering granite peaks, turquoise lakes, and glaciers. Take a short trek or boat ride to view Grey Glacier or hike around the Lago Nordenskjöld for spectacular views of the park’s dramatic scenery.
Day 07 : Punta Arenas – Santiago
