ITINERARY
DAY 1: Arrival Guwahati Airport (GAU) / Railway Station – Shillong

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, transfer to Shillong.

Enroute visit Umiam Lake, a mesmerizing man-made reservoir, is located at a distance of 15 kilometres north of Shillong. Flanked by hills on all sides and lined by striking roadways and bridges, the gentle Umiam Lake is one of the reasons why the Guwahati-Shillong route is considered one of the most scenic in the region. The lake was formed when a dam was built over the Umiam River in the early sixties

DAY 02 Shillong – Excursion to Cherrapunjee - Shillong

After breakfast, today go a day excursion to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place on the earth.

Enroute visit the captivating Elephant falls. The lucid water and the luxuriant greenery gives you a mesmerizing view. The falls consist of three amazing falls in the sequence. The third waterfall which is the best and most spectacular of the three.

At Cherrapunjee visit Garden of Caves, Arwah Cave / Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls.
Garden of Caves is an amazingly beautiful place, which is decorated by nature herself, the place is beautifully organized by caves, rocky hills, waterfalls, narrow streams, and endless greenery and offers an ever- refreshing experience.
Arwah Caves are one of the most famous cave systems in Meghalaya. This region is surrounded with a highly diverse and dense environment.
Seven sisters falls are dramatic waterfalls, some of the highest in India, over limestone cliffs in a picturesque setting.

DAY 03: Shillong – Excursion to Mawlynnong – Dawki - Shillong
Mawllynnong (80 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive approx. one-way)
Dawki Lake (30 Kms / 01 to 02 Hrs drive approx.)
Shillong (90 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive approx. one-way from Dawki Lake)

Wake up early and drive to Mawlynnong.
Today you can explore the cleanest village in the world, Mawlynnong. You can take the sky walk for a spectacular view of the Single living Root Bridge.

After lunch drive to Dawki.
Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major exports and imports take place. It is a splendid drive of 45 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot River, The Umngot River is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single span suspension bridge was constructed.

DAY 04: Shillong – Shillong Local sightseeing - Kaziranga

Visit Don Bosco Museum & Ward’s Lake and drive to Kaziranga.
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, Kaziranga is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
