ITINERARY:
Day 1 : Welcome to Interlaken
Interlaken is a perfect base for exploring Switzerland’s stunning landscapes and adventure activities, it is the adventure capital of Europe. It is blessed with Mountain peaks, waterfalls, lakes, and hiking trails lined with over 150 variety of wild flowers. There is something for everybody. Enjoy a walking tour of Interlaken visiting Höhematte Park for beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Take a funicular to the Harder Kulm for panoramic views of
Interlaken, Lake Thun, and Lake Brienz. Stroll leisurely along the lakeshore or take a boast ride on Lake Thun. Enjoy a relaxing dinner in town, sampling Swiss cuisine at a local restaurant
Day 2 : Glaciers and Snow fun
Take the famous cogwheel to Jungfrau, the “Top of Europe.” Enjoy spectacular views from the highest railway station in Europe. Explore the Aletsch Glacier, Ice Palace, and panoramic observation decks. After lunch at one of the mountain restaurants, enjoy the Snow Fun Park where you can try snow tubing or tobogganing.
Return to Interlaken and relax with dinner for a traditional Swiss experience.
Day 3 : Interlaken – Bern – Interlaken
Take a morning train from Interlaken to Bern (about 1 hour). Bern, Switzerland’s charming capital, is a blend of medieval history and vibrant culture. Its UNESCO-listed Old Town, with cobbled streets, and the iconic Zytglogge clock tower, offers a journey back in time. Bern is a must-visit gem. Start at Bern’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, filled with medieval architecture, charming arcades, and fountains. Visit the Zytglogge Clock Tower, an iconic 13th-century astronomical clock—try to catch the mechanical show at the top of the hour. Stroll down Kramgasse, Bern’s historic main street, lined with boutiques, cafés, and the famous Bear Fountain. Stop by the Einstein Museum (Bern Historical Museum) to learn about Albert Einstein’s time in Bern. After lunch visit Federal Palace of Switzerland, you can either take a guided tour (if available) or enjoy the view from Bundesplatz. If visiting in summer, watch the impressive water fountains display in the square. Take a train back to Interlaken, enjoy the evening at leisure by the lakes.
Day 4 : Waterfalls and James Bond
Visit Lauterbrunnen, one of Switzerland's most picturesque valleys, famous for its waterfalls. The stunning Staubbach Falls and the Trümmelbach Falls, are a series of glacier waterfalls inside the mountain. Ascend to the Schilthorn by a cable car from Mürren. Enjoy panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau from the summit. Visit the Piz Gloria, the revolving restaurant featured in a James Bond film. Today you may enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Brienz
Day 5 : Interlaken to Lucerne
Lucerne is a charming Swiss city nestled between a stunning lake and towering mountains. Known for its medieval architecture, the iconic Chapel Bridge, and the Lion Monument. Enjoy scenic cruises on Lake Lucerne, explore nearby Mountain Peaks. Today enjoy a walking tour of Lucerne’s picturesque Old Town, visiting the Chapel Bridge and Water Tower. Visit the Lion Monument, a moving tribute to Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution. You may visit the Swiss Museum of Transport, showcasing Switzerland's rich transportation history with interactive exhibits. Stroll along the lake Lucerne promenade and enjoy dinner at a lakeside
Day 6 : Mount Titlis Adventure
Today ride the Titlis Rotair to reach Mount Titlis, known for eternal snow. Enjoy the ice-flyer, and the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe’s highest suspension bridge. Enjoy the snow activities and walk through the Glacier Cave. In the evening explore local shops at Lucerne or relax at a cozy café in Old Town. Take a scenic boat cruise on Lake Lucerne for beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 7 : Rhine Falls & Schaffhausen
Today proceed to Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall. Walk the platforms for close-up views of the powerful falls, or take a boat ride to the rock in the middle of the falls. On the way back visit Zurich to visit the FIFA museum, or the old town of Zurich. Indulge in some shopping or simply stroll around lake Zurich Return to Lucerne for a relaxed evening, enjoying Swiss cuisine at a local restaurant.
Day 8 : Mount Pilatus OR Rigi OR Stanserhorn
Choose between the 3 iconic mountain excursions Take the world’s steepest cogwheel train up to Pilatus Kulm or the gondola for stunning views. If adventurous, try the Pilatus Rope Park. Take a scenic cogwheel train to Mount Rigi, known as the "Queen of the Mountains," with panoramic views of the Swiss Plateau. Visit Stanserhorn, offering panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, accessible by the world’s first open-top cable car and hiking trails. Enjoy a scenic hike on either mountain or relax at a mountaintop restaurant. Return to Lucerne and enjoy a lovely traditional dinner
Day 9 : Depart Lucerne for your next adventure, or return home with happy memories of your trip to Switzerland
